Minipark
The Minipark is next to the ball field, behind the Community Club log building. It has a play area, fountain, restrooms and covered pavilion. Flowerbeds and paths have recently been added. It can be reserved by calling Weippe City Hall.
 
Community Club Building
This historic log building belongs to the Community Club and can also be rented. It contains kitchen facilities, restrooms and a large, spacious hall with a stage. Many community events are held in this building, including pie socials and the community Christmas program produced by the Wesleyan Church. Make reservations by calling L. McMillen at 435-4769.

Fraser Park

Weippe, Idaho

Weippe is known in history as the place where explorers Captains Lewis & Clark met the Nez Perce Indians. Weippe Prairie (Nez Perce NHP) - Nearly starving here while crossing the Bitterroot Mountains westbound. Interpretive sign.  Weippe is one of eight registered national landmarks in Idaho commemorating the 1805-1806 parts of the Lewis & Clark expedition.

Weippe is on a wide alpine meadow, and is located in the high country of north Central Idaho. It can be reached by Hwy 12 from Missoula, MT on the east - from the west at Lewiston, ID. Take Hwy 12 to Greer, cross the bridge over the Clearwater River and you are on Hwy 11. Remain on Hwy 11 for 17 miles to WEIPPE. See map below. A blue stickpin marks the spot.
